On August 8, 2025, TCab Tech broke ground on the first E20 eVTOL manufacturing facility located in Wanzhi District, Wuhu City, Anhui Province, China. This milestone marks the company’s transition from critical technology development to the new phase of industrialization and signifies the official launch of TCab Tech’s global delivery system.

TCab Tech Founder & CEO Ng Yon Wui, Co-Founder & CMO Jiang Jun, Co-Founder Zhou Longchao, Vice President of Anhui TCab Tech Chen Yulong, along with special guest Tang Bin, Chairman of Anhui General Aviation Holding Group, and shareholder representatives, jointly pushed the ceremonial lever to officially break ground on the manufacturing base. The event was attended by government officials from Wuhu City and Wanzhi District, banking representatives, industry partners, and members of the media, all gathered to witness this important milestone.

The E20 eVTOL, independently developed by TCab Tech, is a manned electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft featuring tilt-rotor technology that combines high-speed cruise with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities. The aircraft accommodates up to 5 people and reaches a maximum flight speed of 320 km/h. It is designed for diverse applications including low-altitude tourism, urban air mobility, and short intercity commutes. Leveraging its all-electric propulsion, high safety standards, low noise emissions, intelligent systems, and controllable operating costs, the E20 eVTOL effectively addresses challenges faced by different cities—such as traffic congestion, limited land resources, and energy pressures—making it a key solution for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and the future of urban transportation.

As TCab Tech’s first eVTOL manufacturing facility, the project is located near Shadun Village in Lotus Town, Wanzhi District, Wuhu City, covering an initial area of approximately 70 mu (about 11.5 acres). Equipped with world-class digital manufacturing and testing equipment, the facility will feature two complete eVTOL final assembly lines with an annual production capacity of 200 aircraft. This base will serve as a critical manufacturing hub within TCab Tech’s delivery network, providing strong support for the company’s market expansion.

“This eVTOL manufacturing facility is designed for both scale and flexibility, enabling us to rapidly meet global demand for clean, efficient, and accessible aerial mobility,?said Ng Yon Wui, Founder & CEO of TCab Tech. “This isn’t just a factory—it’s a platform that embodies our strategic commitment to advancing high-end, intelligent, and green technologies. It represents our determination to drive technological breakthroughs and continuous innovation over the next decade. With the official commencement of the facility, it will undertake three key missions: firstly, as the company’s inaugural E20 eVTOL production base, it will fully support efficient manufacturing and serve as the exclusive site for our production certificate (PC) application; secondly, it will act as a vital collaboration hub within the local industrial ecosystem, fostering an open and mutually beneficial environment alongside upstream and downstream partners; and thirdly, it will function as a strategic platform connecting innovation, talent, capital, and infrastructure.?/p>

TCab Tech Receives First E20 eVTOL Avionics Display System from AVIC Computer Research Institute

Designed around the unique operational profile of eVTOL aircraft, the display system is a core element of the E20’s all-digital cockpit. Replacing traditional mechanical instruments with touchscreen LCDs, it greatly enhances pilot situational awareness and human-machine interaction.

The Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MFD) operate in tandem on a high-performance processing platform, supporting multi-touch input, high-resolution graphics, and fast response times—delivering a smooth and intuitive user experience.

To ensure operational safety, the system features a dual-redundant architecture. If one unit fails, the other automatically takes over full functionality, ensuring continuous access to critical flight data.

The display system demonstrated excellent performance during validation testing, showcasing superior integration, usability, and fault tolerance. Its design strictly follows safety-critical principles and meets applicable airworthiness standards.

The E20 is a five-seat tiltrotor eVTOL independently developed by TCab Tech. Combining vertical takeoff and landing with high-speed cruise, low noise, and enhanced safety, the E20 is designed to deliver efficient and scalable solutions for urban and regional air mobility. The delivery of the display system represents a meaningful step forward in both the development and certification of the E20 eVTOL program.

In March 2025, the E20 eVTOL successfully concluded its structural validation campaign. The test was executed in full accordance with airworthiness requirements, encompassing critical design scenarios including: ground operations, flight maneuvers, gust loads, and system failure conditions.

To ensure design substantiation, the engineering team conducted flight phase-specific loads covering takeoff profile, transition corridor, and cruise configuration. Through critical case downselection methodology, the most severe load combinations from hundreds of candidate cases were identified for physical testing.

The structural test article employed synchronized multi-axis servo-hydraulic loading rigs with dozens independent actuators to achieve six-degree-of-freedom load simulation. Hundreds strain gauge rosettes were strategically positioned at primary load path intersections, enabling real-time structural response monitoring. Test-to-analysis correlation demonstrated less than 3% deviation.

This campaign confirms that the E20 eVTOL meets high safety and reliability standards for structural integrity. It is a key step toward airworthiness certification and commercial use. Having accumulated over 600 flight test sorties, TCab Tech has gained valuable experience and data, setting the stage for the upcoming manned flight trials.
